EZVIZ CB5 4K – Smart Solar Security Without Complicated Wiring

The EZVIZ CB5 4K brings together ultra-high-definition video, solar charging and intelligent security features in one advanced outdoor camera. Its 2.8mm F1.6 lens provides a wide 135° diagonal viewing angle, helping one camera monitor a broad area.

One of the CB5’s biggest advantages is its integrated 1.4W solar panel.

Instead of requiring a separate solar panel for everyday charging, the camera can use direct sunlight to replenish its battery. Under EZVIZ’s specified laboratory conditions, approximately two hours of direct sunlight per day can provide enough charging for a full day of typical use.

Actual solar performance will depend on sunlight intensity, installation angle, weather and camera activity.

Massive 10,400mAh Rechargeable Battery

The EZVIZ CB5 includes a large 10,400mAh rechargeable battery for extended operation.

Under EZVIZ laboratory test conditions, the fully charged camera can operate for up to 180 days without additional solar charging, based on limited daily activity.

The combination of a large battery and integrated solar charging helps reduce the need for frequent manual recharging.

Always-On Video Mode

Unlike conventional battery cameras that mainly record when motion triggers an event, the CB5 supports Always-On Video Mode (AOV).

AOV captures images at preset intervals and combines them into time-lapse video, providing broader all-day coverage while managing battery consumption efficiently. When important human activity occurs, the camera can switch to normal event recording.

The latest compatible firmware should be installed to access the full AOV functionality.

AI Human & Vehicle Detection

The EZVIZ CB5 4K uses AI-powered technology to identify human and vehicle shapes.

This helps the camera focus on important activity instead of treating every movement as equally relevant. Users can receive smarter notifications through the EZVIZ App when a person or vehicle is detected.

This feature is especially useful for driveways, entrances, parking areas and front gardens.

Full-Color Night Vision

Outdoor monitoring continues after sunset with the CB5’s enhanced night-vision system.

The camera includes two infrared lights for black-and-white night monitoring and two spotlights for full-color night vision.

Both IR and color night vision can reach up to approximately 15 metres, helping provide useful visibility around the property after dark.

Active Defense & Two-Way Talk

The EZVIZ CB5 does more than simply record suspicious activity.

Its active defense system can trigger a siren and flashing spotlights to help discourage unwanted visitors. Users can also communicate remotely through the camera’s two-way talk feature using the EZVIZ App.

Custom voice messages can also be used for supported motion-triggered responses.

WiFi 6 Connectivity

The CB5 supports 2.4GHz WiFi 6 (802.11ax) connectivity, providing efficient wireless communication for 4K streaming and remote monitoring.

No separate hub is required. Once connected to a suitable WiFi network, users can access the camera through the EZVIZ App.

Flexible Video Storage

The camera supports MicroSD cards up to 512GB, allowing users to store recordings locally. EZVIZ CloudPlay is also available as an optional cloud-storage service in supported markets.

H.265 compression helps reduce bandwidth and storage requirements while maintaining high-resolution video.
