The A3 uses ZigBee 3.0 to communicate with compatible smart sensors.

ZigBee is designed for connected smart-home devices that need reliable communication while keeping power requirements low. This makes it particularly suitable for battery-powered sensors that need to remain active for extended periods.

In an open testing environment, EZVIZ specifies a ZigBee communication distance of less than 200 metres, although actual indoor range can vary depending on walls, interference and installation conditions.

WiFi or Wired Internet Connection

The EZVIZ A3 Home Gateway provides flexible network installation options.

Users can connect it wirelessly through a 2.4GHz WiFi network or use the built-in RJ45 Ethernet interface for a wired network connection. This flexibility makes it easier to position the gateway according to the home’s network setup.

The EZVIZ A3 includes 20 different alarm sounds, allowing users to select an appropriate audible notification for their smart-home setup.

Connect Multiple EZVIZ Devices

The A3 is designed to support an expanding EZVIZ smart-home ecosystem.

It can be positioned on a shelf, desk, nightstand or other convenient indoor location without taking up much space. Power is supplied through Micro USB using DC 5V/1A, with maximum power consumption of only 3W.
